The Wolf Pack Turns a Shade of Blue

Towards the end of October, the lovely crew from CBBC’s Blue Peter came to visit us at Wolf Studios Wales and with them, they brought along the wonderfully talented members of Bridgend Youth Theatre.

In anticipation for the world premiere of His Dark Materials, which premiered on Sunday November 3rd on BBC One, Bridgend Youth Theatre were lucky enough to have the opportunity to interview none other than series lead Dafne Keen, who plays the role of Lyra, as well as her co-star Lewin Lloyd, who takes on the role of Roger.

The session itself went down a treat and the standard of interviewing was impressive to say the least. Dafne and Lewin were asked questions about what it's like to work in the industry as well as being quizzed about their favourite characters to play. When questioned about what is it like to work in Wales, the young stars were full of praise and talked highly of their time filming in the capital and the surrounding areas.

On top of this, the members were treated to a behind the scenes tour of the studio by our Education and Training Manager where they were able to take a look at some of the outstanding sets currently occupying the space. Wolf Studios Wales has six stages in total and each one is always a hive of activity with various exciting things being constructed inside.

We'd like to say a massive thank you to Dafne and Lewin for taking time out of their busy schedules to come and visit our on-site classroom, as well as thanking the members of Bridgend Youth Theatre, who we hope enjoyed their day here at Wolf Studios Wales! Please come and visit us again soon!

We hope you enjoy tonight's episode of Blue Peter on CBBC at 5:30pm, where you can catch all of the above and much more!
