4Wood expands its premises in Trident Trade Park
We are delighted to share the news that one of our key Sponsors, 4Wood, have expanded their current premises. It is has more than tripled its space, allowing them increased room to carry out the incredible services they provide for the film and television industry.
4Wood are one of the largest set construction companies in the country, having worked on some of TV’s most popular shows. Their creations have an incredibly broad range, from relatively modest kitchen sets for shows such as Sex Education to more extravagant and complex builds for fantasy shows like Bad Wolf’s His Dark Materials. The sets they construct are unique to each production, paying attention to the smallest of details and ensuring that each build is of the highest quality.
With a huge client list including the BBC, HBO and Disney, and with multiple projects on the horizon, the expansion of the facility in Cardiff will further strengthen the already booming industry here in Wales.
James Thorne Project Manager at 4Wood said:
“We will maintain our current 8,733 sq ft Unit 1A on Trident Park and are expanding into Unit 5A to keep up with the growth of our business. It will allow us to prefabricate sets within the workshop environment before sending them out to erect in studios across the UK.
Trident Park is the ideal location for us to be based. We work closely with Bad Wolf’s 'Wolf Studios Wales', which is just a stone’s throw away, and also have perfect access to the M4 corridor to service studios from Swansea to London and beyond."
Grace Shackell, Asset Manager at Mileway, said: “We acquired this estate in May 2021 and are extremely pleased to have achieved this letting within such a short timeframe. 4Wood are a great Tenant already and to have them expand within Trident Trade Park encompasses what Mileway strive to do in working alongside our customers and building upon our relationship with them.”
Neil Francis, head of the logistics and industrial team at Knight Frank in Cardiff adds “ Having worked with 4Wood when they first located to Trident Park it is great to be involved in their expansion. The creative industries sector is going from strength to strength and Trident Park, being home of the Wolf Studios and 4Wood, is playing a big part in this growth.”
We are so excited to see more of the incredible work that you do and look forward to working alongside you for many years to come!
