Share My Telly Job

We would love to introduce our readers to an incredible recruitment organisation, looking to help freelancers who work in the industry, Share My Telly Job! Like SAW, they are committed to ensuring that those working in the industry are looked after and that diversity and inclusion is at the forefront of productions. They want to share more information about working as a freelancer and emphasise the incredible benefits from these kinds of jobs. Michelle from Share my Telly Job told us more as well as their exciting new venture with ScreenSkills:

Share My Telly Job was founded by four experienced television professionals to promote practical solutions to hiring and, crucially, retaining experienced, diverse industry talent.  We provide tangible support to help all TV and Film workers achieve a better work-life balance so they may continue to thrive in an industry they have dedicated their working lives to.

Now SMTJ are working with ScreenSkills to provide a first of its kind Job-Sharing programme for all off-camera roles in High-end TV. ScreenSkills recognise the value of job-sharing as a tool for retaining experienced crew and the HETV Skills fund will be funding handover days for 40 job-share placements on High-end productions.

SMTJ will support the job-share placements with additional training and coaching for both job-share pairs and the teams they will work with.

If you wish to learn more about job-sharing or are interested in crewing up any of the job-share pairs on the programme for your upcoming productions, please contact Michelle Reynolds - [email protected]
