St Alban's Partnership - start of article

St Alban's Partnership

We are proud to announce our partner school for this academic year is St Alban’s Primary School in Tremorfa.  At Screen Alliance Wales, we choose a partner school to work with every year and we are excited to be working with St Alban’s this year to promote careers in the Film and TV Industry.  They are situated so close to Wolf Studios Wales, it only seems right that we try and recruit a few new members of our future work force from just around the corner.

Situated in Tremorfa, Cardiff, St Albans is a Catholic Primary school dedicated to the education of children from ages 4 to 11 years of age. The school has recently welcomed back pupils for another year, and we’re so pleased to be part of their learning experience this year! We shall be visiting the school every week to deliver workshops based around the wide range of careers you can find in the Film and TV Industry.  So far, we have already looked at Stop Frame Animation, Computer Animation, Set Design, Scenic Painting and even Puppetry! We think we have already spotted a few new members of crew… even if we do have to wait 10 years for them to join us!

We love working with young people of all ages and encourage them to pursue work within the media industry. We are so excited to have St Alban’s as one of our brand-new partnering schools and cannot wait to continue our partnership with them.
