The Local Girl Who Became Bad Wolf's First Ever Apprentice
Holly Miles, 19, has lived in Cardiff all of her life, and when she left sixth form at Cardiff High School, she knew university wasn’t for her.
Despite not wanting to attend university, Holly knew that she had a passion for the TV and film industry and, having studied Theatre at A Level, wanted to pursue this as her future career. After leaving school she applied for an apprenticeship with Bad Wolf through Sgil Cymru and secured a 12-month contract with the company. Holly will be completing a level 3 diploma in Creative and Digital Media as Bad Wolf’s first ever apprentice.
When asked about her first six months at Bad Wolf and what her job involves, she had this to say:
“I’m really enjoying it; the people are so nice and make you feel like part of the Bad Wolf family. I was sceptical about not going to university, but apprenticeships are the perfect way to get your foot in the door whilst gaining valuable experience. With the Welsh TV and film industry growing as fast as it is, it’s an exciting time to be in this profession”.
