National Eisteddfod: When is a Location not a Location?

Next month, the National Eisteddfod will be taking place in Llanrwst, Conwy County from 3rd–10th August and it’s sure to be an event not to be missed.

At BAFTA’s Sinemaes Tipi location, an exciting programme has been planned full of workshops for children, screenings of new and archive films, discussion panels, networking events and much more for the large crowds that are sure to gather.

For those interested in a career in Locations, or even if you want to simply find out more about filming in Wales, BAFTA have scheduled an event that is guaranteed to grab your interest.

One of the industry’s leading Location Managers, Gareth Skelding, will be taking to the floor to share his knowledge, experience and career highlights with you. Since becoming a Location Manager in 2001, Gareth has gone on to head the Locations department across a number of high-profile productions, from `Doctor Who’ to `His Dark Materials’ and many, many more in between. During this free session, Gareth will be looking at the process of linking locations with a script for tv and film projects. Is it as easy as it looks? We’ll see you on Friday August 9th at 3pm to find out.
